We could not wait to go back, and are pleased to announce it has earned a spot in Peachy's Picks. As soon as the menu is handed to you with your red crayon, you will become extremely excited to create your absolutely bespoke meal (oooh you know who loves custom everything!), and though of course you should follow your own personal choices on this culinary adventure, we will guide you through the aspects that we advise you not to miss! As you know Peachy is in love with the above featured Fried Artichoke Hearts. Crispy and crunchy and divinely decadent for a casual place, this appetizer will win a spot in your stomach as well as your heart. We met Vincent, the other co-owner on the takeout review and this time at the sit-down dinner review we were pleased to meet John Agnello, Co-Owner with Vincent. John is carrying on a family culinary tradition, as his dad and grandfather were chefs in both Italy and New York. They are both quite cordial and just bursting with pride at their fantastic venue. We rarely review a spot this casual, so you can be assured of the ultimate quality you will encounter at The Burger Bistro.
Peachy Deegan sipped a fruity red sangria which added a festive flair to the evening. The Burger Bistro has mainly beer and wine-not a full bar.
Peachy thought her corn-on-the-cob days of 2012 were a thing of the past, however, John suggested we try Deep Fried Corn on the Cob. We've never had such a thing and you need to try this. Peachy's was gone in 0.5 seconds as her teeth made typewriter-like passes over the to-die-for vegetable laden with Chipotle Mayo. It was unexpectedly excellent!
Since Peachy already tried the beef in takeout, she opted for the Chicken with Mozzarella and Guacamole, and again with terrific results! Every ingredient is screaming quality at The Burger Bistro, and it is worth every step you'll take to First Avenue to try it. The Dessert of creating your own ice cream sandwich is again terribly creative, and we've never seen this anywhere else. Next time our resident chocoholic will have to go that route, but Red Velvet ice cream is divine!

The Decor at The Burger Bistro is not your typical Burger Joint. It boasts a warm, classy and inviting feel that is demonstrative of a serious restaurant. It's a place you could just hang out and eat everything on the menu if you can!
The ordering process is unique using a red crayon-like pencil to place check marks next to your order allowing the customer the ability to get creative with their meal. They have made burgers fun and you will never get bored of the menu!
Buffalo Tater Tots - if you like buffalo sauce this is a must order. Crispy tater tots lightly sauced with blue cheese bits and celery ignited my appetite.
I sipped on a fantastic hard cider that accentuated the flavors of each of my components of consumption.
I had the beef burger medium - cooked perfect and juicy with Gruyere Cheese, Lettuce & Tomato on a Brioche roll. The Burger is big so make sure you are hungry when you come. One of the best burgers you can get in Manhattan hands down. Throw in the friendly and chatty staff and this place is tough to beat!
Make sure you save room for dessert if you can - make your own ice cream sandwich with a selection of cookies that cook fresh in house. The shortbread cookie with red velvet is a winner for sure and we look forward to trying all the other options as well :)
