The weather is getting colder, and the holidays will soon be upon us! It is a time for baking, cooking, eating, and spending time with friends and family. It's also a time for decorating our homes. One way to decorate and spend quality time with the people we love is through crafting. Ingrid Perra's book, Christmas Magic, will give you all the best ideas for making great Christmas crafts. This book is perfect for beginners or experts. It has craft ideas that are very simple, and it also has ones that are much more challenging. From wall hangings and pillows to placemats and baskets, there are tons of fantastic things you can learn to make from this book. My favorite project has to be the draft stopper that is decorated with a snowman family. It is adorable! This is such a great book for the holiday season!
As a not-so-beginner sewer, interested in all things crafts and textiles, I love to look through pattern books. A pattern book, with more to offer than just patterns has always been my downfall. As a little girl, I remember looking through my Mother's copies of magazines that had special crafts projects in them. The pictures, together with the patterns, were my Saturday afternoon projects. Want to make a Christmas tree? Here's the pattern. Join all those trees together, and make a bowl. Or a wreath. Us up all your fabric scraps and have a merry old time with this book. Full of ideas that will warm up your spontaneity, Ingrid Perra has put them all together and gives us a push into holiday spirit. There's a beginner's walk-through, too, so even the least needlewoman out there can give it a go.
This book is a must have for anyone who is into making crafts. With the holidays fast approaching, this would be a perfect early Secret Santa gift for those people who love to craft. I know of a few people who love to stich and sew who I've mentioned this book to. There are so many cute Christmas and winter crafts that I would love to try myself. Since I am a beginner at most of this, this book did such a good job at explaining the steps necessary to make these cute items. Of the 25 items, I think the Advent House is my favorite. I have several different Advent boxes I display and this would be a perfect addition to my collection. That is one that I will have to try when I have a few days off. Not only could these craft ideas be ideal for beginners, more advanced crafters could incorporate more complex ideas to these crafts. I can't wait to begin making some of these crafts.
Holiday Fun is such a great book! I love arts and crafts! This book teaches you how to make so many fun things! How can you not want to open it up and start doing fun projects. The instructions are easy to follow. The images are great. I think its is a great book for this time of year. You can give some of these crafts as a gift. This book makes for a wonderful gift. Open up and see all the fun!
