Nothing is better than hands-on learning. As Thanksgiving is approaching, why not inspire your children to learn in an interactive way that does not involve your ipad?! I love the Pilgrim Village: A Thanksgiving Diorama. You and your children can color your way to a Thanksgiving Celebration Diorama. Color and learn about Wigwams and pilgrim’s Houses and forts. Construct the space and play along. A great family project for all ages!

This Thanksgiving diorama was hours of fun for my two boys and I. My oldest son really enjoyed coloring all the pieces. He also enjoyed playing with all the pieces while I finished cutting out the remaining ones. He really liked helping Daddy put it all together. While putting it all together, it gave me an opportunity to explain why we celebrate Thanksgiving. This was a great rainy day activity that both the oldest and his little brother enjoyed. I would recommend this if you like to do projects with your kids.

My five year old son loves to color, create, draw and build! Needless to say, he was thrilled when he got his hands on Kevin Ludgate's "Pilgrim Village: Thanksgiving Diorama"! Coloring? Cutting? This is music to a five year old's ears! "I get to build my own village, mom?", he yelled excitedly. We started early on this in hopes of having it completed by Thanksgiving. It has provided hours of fun for my son (and for me!). I have been able to incorporate teaching him about our history while having fun! I highly recommend this to any family. It will provide great bonding time for you and your child and will give you the opportunity to talk about our country's rich history!

I love teaching about the First Thanksgiving. I'm always looking for new ways to help me and I have found it inPilgrim Village: A Thanksgiving Diorama. This will be a wonderful addition to our center time. We always do a Thanksgiving Reader's Theatre and now we can have a prop behind us when we do. I love how kids can help decorate and put together this Pilgrim Village. By doing this, they will have some ownership in what we are doing. Plus, with the different people and pieces of the village distinct to the villagers or Native Americans, there will be lots of learning happening while we are working. I can't wait to begin this project with my class.

Pilgrim Village: A Thanksgiving Diorama is so awesome! I love this book. It is such a great way to learn about Thanksgiving and also build something. The instructions are easy. The project is educational in a really fun way. This will engage you and your child to work together and learn. I love these types of books.
