It shows how each area has preserved and commemorated the President that it bore. Outlining each President’s home town from George Washington to our current President. From fun facts like the closest birthplace of one of the other Presidents to actual addresses you are intrigued to read more. We also enjoyed the significant points they present on each President’s residence. So if you are a history buff you will dive in and get through all 43 chapters. Even if you are not a history buff, this book will pull you in and keep your interest and make you feel even more patriotic!
With the election behind us and the darker side of politics in the past weeks, the lessons on the election and the presidents have been a happening part of our news. I love how this book gives very detailed information on every president. The pictures were so helpful in seeing what you could see if you were to visit the area. I know when we start research projects in the spring, this book will come in handy. When I sat down to begin looking through this book, I was pulled in by all the information that by the time I looked at the clock, a few hours had gone by. Even I learned some new information. I had no idea that President Ford's real name- Leslie King. I now know I want to take some road trips in the near future to see some of these historic places. I love that there are a few pages in the back of the book for you to mark the date visited and any notes taken while visiting. If you know of anyone who loves history and learning more about the Presidents, this book is must have.
