Dave's Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce Recommended by the Peachy's Pantry Panel of Whom You Know
The fast-paced life we lead tends to produce quick and mostly boring dinners. I try and try to find something unique when I search the grocery store shelves but I usually leave empty handed. That has all changed since I have been introduced to a fabulous line of products, Dave's Gourmet. Dave's Gourmet Butternut-Squash pasta sauce is absolutely fantastic. This sauce was the first product I ever tried from Dave's Gourmet and it was tasty, fresh with a new and healthy twist to a bland Thursday night dinner. I paired Dave's Gourmet Butternut-Squash pasta sauce with penne and roasted garlic with onions. The perfect flavor combination, and completely easy and simple. My family loved it, and the best part is, Dave's Gourmet Butternut-Squash is all natural, made from squash from Oregon. If you are looking for something delicious and fresh, look no further than this terrific sauce, guaranteed to take your boring work night meals to the next level of gourmet.
I also used this sauce on spaghetti squash. I loved it! The combination of spaghetti squash with butternut squash pasta sauce was perfect! I have eaten it five times since and I can't wait to eat it five more! I added just a touch of sea salt and it was amazing! A healthy flavorful dish! The sauce has a unique flavor to it and could be added to chicken, pasta, and vegetable dishes. I am not surprised that this is an award-winning sauce. It is by far the best sauce I have tasted in a long time. I can't think of one that even comes close! My son, who is extremely picky, loved it as well. Great for family dinners!
I love anything that involves butternut squash. I had seen butternut squash sauces in the past, but when I saw that Dave's Gourmet made one, I was eager to try it. I must say, it does not disappoint! I decided to use it on ravioli for dinner one night. My roommate and I absolutely loved it! The sauce tasted so fresh and packed full of flavor! We certainly devoured the ravioli quickly because we could not stop eating it. I will certainly be making this dish again and other recipes with this award-winning sauce!
My family is part Italian so a weekly pasta dish for dinner is a given. We typically do ravioli with a marinara sauce or baked ziti. One recent night I decided to change things up a bit. Expand our palates, if you will! Enter Dave's Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce! My five year old son happens to love butternut squash. I mean, the kid lives for the day in Autumn when our favorite local restaurant has their butternut squash side dish. So, I knew I would have no problem serving him pasta with this new (to us) sauce. My husband, however, is another story as the man is a picky eater. He was my challenge! I had some nice organic wide noodles just begging to be covered in this butternut squash sauce. I prepared the meal and didn't warn my husband that we would be trying something different. I watched with great anticipation as he lifted his first forkful to his mouth and waited to hear what he would have to say. Amazingly, he liked it! My son and I loved it, but there was no doubt that we would. Dave's Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce was the winner of the best pasta sauce at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2009. It is made with squash ripened in Oregon's Willamette Valley and is paired with fresh garlic, onions and roasted red pepper...heavenly! I highly recommend Dave's Gourmet Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce; it is delicious!
I am always on the lookout for new recipes and foods to try. When I saw the Butternut-Squash Pasta Sauce by Dave's Gourmet, I knew this was going to be a must have at my house. It was so good! I wanted to lick my bowl clean. I just happened to make it with angel hair pasta, and didn't want to hit the bottom of the bowl. I can't wait to serve this with some other dishes. I found that this sauce had a very robust, but sweet flavor. I couldn't get enough. I know I'll have to find where I can buy more so I can enjoy it any time I want!

Dave's Gourmet is the result of Dave owning and managing a small restaurant called Burrito Madness near the University of Maryland. Late at night a number of Dave's patrons were usually drunk and troublesome. Quickly Dave discovered that if some of these drunks ate super-hot hot sauce, then they either left or became extremely quiet. Since it worked out that the hotter the sauce, the faster drunk patrons left; Dave went on a mission to create the hottest sauce in the Universe. The end result of this mission was Insanity Sauce which Dave took to the National Fiery Foods Show in New Mexico. At the show the sauce made quite an impression and not just because of the straight jacket that Dave wore. In fact, Insanity became the only product ever banned for being too hot. Since that day over 13 years ago: Burrito Madness was sold, Dave set up Dave's Gourmet, Inc., and seventy other products have been added to Dave's Gourmet's offerings.
Dave's Gourmet's products are distributed throughout the U.S. and in several foreign countries. The excellent quality of their items has garnered the company a number of awards including a prestigious gold trophy and 6 silver trophies from NASFT (The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade). Dave's Hurtin' Habanero Mustard won a gold award the last 3 years in a row at the World Wide Mustard Festival. Dave's Gourmet has been featured in every major newspaper in the U.S. and on television shows and networks such as Good Morning America, the Today Show, Food Network, CNN, MTV and more
Although Dave's Gourmet began with hot products that have a humorous or upbeat packaging, the company has developed into a diversified specialty food company. Dave's now produce items ranging from Organic Heirloom Pasta Sauces, Insane Drink Mixes, Insanity Popcorn and Olives in Pain to Ultimate Insanity Sauce. What makes Dave's Gourmet special is the way they use fresh specialty ingredients, unique flavors and then add a slightly insane perspective to it. In addition to producing items under its own labels, Dave's Gourmet creates formulations and produces for a number of other companies. Recently, Dave has acquired two new companies – Chile Today Hot Tamale, and Palette Fine Foods.
