We have covered the ENK shows for years, but now they have been acquired by Advanstar, and we were delighted to kick off coverage of this parent brand with Project NYC this week at Pier 92 in Manhattan. We met many new brands we hope to feature in Sharp Dressed Man and we hope Advanstar is just as proactive in working with us going forward!
Peachy was pleased as punch to sport the Johnnie O Women's Fleece Vest during the show. One Italian designer we met there was so attentive to detail that he noted the surfer logo was the same hue as her Christian Dior eyeliner....! We don't think we arrived at that conclusion earlier when putting it on but he was right...
ADVANSTAR GLOBAL LLC COMPLETES ENK FASHION TRADESHOWS ACQUISITION
Property Transfers and Management Changes Instituted
NEW YORK – Advanstar Global LLC, a multi-platform events and information services company and owner of Advanstar Communications, announced that it has completed the acquisition of ENK International LLC. ENK organizes leading fashion events in New York and Las Vegas, featuring properties such as Fashion Coterie, Intermezzo Collections, Accessorie Circuit and ENK Vegas. Through this acquisition, Advanstar Global will significantly expand its event portfolio, adding ENK’s brands to its MAGIC, PROJECT, FN Platform, Licensing International, and other tradeshows, conferences, and events.
ENK and Advanstar Communications will continue to be operated separately, and certain properties have been transferred in order to better serve the customers of both businesses, as well as the overall fashion market:
Footwear events WSA and Sole Commerce have become part of Advanstar
ENKNYC and the men’s and dual brands of ENK Vegas have become part of Advanstar
PROJECT Women’s has become part of ENK

Eric Lisman, a 25-year tradeshow industry veteran and Advanstar’s Executive Vice President - Corporate Development, has left his Advanstar position and assumed a new role as Chief Executive Officer of ENK. Tom Nastos will remain as the President of ENK, responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business. Scott Chowan, Advanstar’s Corporate Development Director, has become the Chief Financial Officer of ENK.
Sunni Spencer has assumed the role of Vice President, ENK Vegas, and reports to Tom Nastos. Michael Sampson has assumed the role of VP Sales, PROJECT, and reports to Tommy Fazio, President of PROJECT. The WSA and Sole Commerce teams, headed by David Kahan, report to Tom Florio, CEO, Advanstar Fashion Group.
