Brrrrrr January is upon us, and the readers have been clamoring for our favorite takeout ideas. Overall, as we keep getting closer to coming out with a list of 200 Manhattan restaurants, inevitably one will close here or there so we are returning to some of our neighborhood favorites to highlight in takeout. In our wise old age of so many restaurants, the ones that we are most impressed with are the ones that are here to stay. Panorama Cafe is a Peachy's Pick, and they showed us again why they've been a staple of the Upper East side for years, and currently are on 1574 Second Avenue (not to be confused with their previous nearby spots.) Spinach salad, above, was tops and every ingredient was sliced perfectly. Tomatoes, red onions and mozzarella with spinach prove to be a winning combination.

Oven-roasted garlic shrimp had our name on it. It was so hot we had to take about ten pictures to get one without steam! No one wants cold takeout...

Finally, the piece de resistance was the pizza! This is not your pizza around the corner; this is a gourmet style, high-quality ingredient pizza. It did not last long in Peachy's presence, and we would highly advise you to try the Tartufato: tomato sauce, mozzarella, white truffle oil and basil; note that Peachy requested they add spinach, mushrooms and garlic-more vegetables for 2013!!!
