Upcoming Daylight: Elements Showcase and Studio Number One Partner for January 28-29, 2013, beauty and fragrance design marketplace
Elements Showcase and Studio Number One will unveil special edition artwork, custom designed by the creative agency for the fifth edition of Elements Showcase on January 28th and 29th, 2013. The artwork, created by Casey Ryder, Associate Creative Director of the agency founded by Shepard Fairey in 2003, will appear on the Elements catalogue cover and in other media.
"This piece for the Elements Showcase is meant to capture the essence of fragrance, design and beauty. It combines an intricate pattern with an organic 'spray' texture," said Ryder.
A Southern California native with deep roots in surf, skate, punk, and art, Ryder has emerged as a leading figure in youth culture-focused brand design. He has collaborated with Shepard Fairey on several high-profile projects, including Artists For Peace and Justice. His personal illustrations have helped bring articles to life in magazines like Wallpaper, Swindle and Bloomberg.
Elements Showcase premiered in January 2011 with just 40 exhibitors and has grown swiftly and significantly over the past 2 years. Now considered the world's most exciting event and tradeshow for scented design objects and products pertaining to the apothecary and beauty worlds, the January 2013 edition promises to be the best one yet. Curated by the Elements founders, Frederick Bouchardy, Jeff Lawson and Ulrich Lang, the fifth installment will, as always, feature exceptional brands—newcomers and established collections—from across the world.
Studio Number One has grown as a collective to help brands realize more meaningful consumer experiences through original storytelling, innovative art-based design, marketing and creative consultancy.
"Elements is pleased to team up with Studio Number One, as we share a complementary ethos and dedication to collaboration, transparency, community, and a desire to tamper with the established order of things," noted Bouchardy.
