Time flies when you're having fun, and we can't believe we've reached Episode Six!  We dread the upcoming Downton Abbey withdrawl that will become inevitable.

SPOILER ALERT!

Bates is freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!  Happy happy joy joy!  "Stay in bed!  Read books!,"  Says the Earl of Grantham...and we believe Bates deserves every minute of happiness now in his cute new cottage with Anna.  And there's happiness for Edith who has a newfound purpose once her new Editor writes back to her.     Baby Sybil is being christened (and maybe like us she is getting her ashes today since she is being baptized a Catholic) despite the wishes of her maternal grandfather, who fears conversion Cora suggests when he needs to be coaxed into a smile for the camera.  But not all is fine and dandy of course because this IS a drama.  And you are sucked in!

Super testy would begin to describe Robert's reaction to criticism regarding his management skills, if they even exist.  And Thomas and O'Brien are characteristically lurking about but you'll be surprised that something causes Bates to become sorry for Thomas...Ivy and Alfred go to the movies...and guess what other footman is being "hit on" and by whom?!?!

As far as excitement goes, much comes in the form of 18-year-old Rose and the Blue Dragon Club.  Flappers galore!
Finally, a cricket match that brings harmony (about time sport made a grand appearance on this series!) and all is well in the world.

And the favorite quote of the episode belongs to our personal favorite, the star Dowager Countess:
"That is an easy caveat to accept because I am never wrong."
-The Dowager Countess
