Fall - Winter 2013

Hair by Guido, Redken Creative Consultant

Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a wet-looking, nonchalant hairstyle that played a key part of the complete look seen on the runway in the Fall 2013 Prada show in Milan today. The collection was dark, elegant and true to the designer but with a few key "undone" details this season - like the hairstyle Guido created - which put more emphasis on the "effortless" in Miuccia Prada's typically effortlessly chic style.

"The clothes in the collection today are very rich, beautiful, and 'film noir,' with inspiration from the 1940's. Paired with the wet, even messy style I'm creating for the hair today, the look is in effect a woman who maybe took her time to put on these exquisite clothes and jewels, and got all dressed, but then forgot about her hair. This makes for a nice contrast, and also relaxes the total look. The hairstyle itself is easy and fresh, like she maybe just got out of the shower. I think it's a very womanly look as well - it's sexy, and shiny - but overall gives off a very nonchalant vibe, that's also in turn maybe a little melancholic, and even fragile."

Create the Look:

1. Apply a generous amount of guts 10 root targeted volume spray foam to wet hair section by section.

2. Create a messy side part and comb through with a wide-toothed comb.

3. Apply Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine by dropping out a generous amount in your hands and then applying from roots to ends while hair is still wet.

4. Clip back the section of hair on the side opposite the part behind the ear and let air dry.

5. Apply additional Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine andforceful 23 super strength finishing spray for a wet, shiny finish.

6. Guido arranged the hair framing the face on each girl to create movement in the front.

**Note, Guido used Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine on the models today to create extra gloss on the runway. There are two versions: Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine is for medium hair textures, and the other Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense is for thicker textures.
