Advantageous Auctions in FARMINGTON, CONNECTICUT: Heirloom Appraisal Day with Heritage Auctions Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Hill-Stead Museum

Kathleen Guzman from Heritage Auctions tells Whom You Know: After the resounding success of last year's Heirloom Appraisal Day, Hill-Stead Museum and Heritage Auctions announce the return of this popular event on Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 35 Mountain Road, Farmington, CT. On this special occasion, it's time to dust off your prized possessions and round up the family heirlooms for an Appraisal Day benefit event.

Meet Kathleen Guzman, Nick Dawes, Kate Waterhouse, Aviva Lehmann Alex Miller and colleagues from Heritage Auctions of New York, Dallas, Beverly Hills, Paris and Geneva as they appraise items ranging from comics and coins to fine art, porcelain, silver, jewelry, photographs and watches. Heritage Auctions is a renowned venue for auctions, private sales and appraisals, with exhibitions both in-house and online. Its experienced specialists — several faces will be familiar from the popular PBS TV series "Antiques Roadshow" — provide unmatched personal service.

Participants are encouraged to bring a wide range of items for appraisal (excluding weapons and stamps). The cost is $15 for the first item, $5 for each additional item with a limit of seven items per person. Proceeds benefit Hill-Stead Museum. Heritage Auctions will also have a consignment table available to take consignment orders for customers who wish to sell one or more of their items. Hill-Stead will receive a commission on all consignments taken.
