Blue Crab Bay Co.’s Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer Recommended by Whom You Know
Once in a while, a body needs a great glass of seltzer. If your hand slips a little, and goes for the Margarita Mix from Blue Crab Bay Co., to add to the seltzer, what's the harm? As a margarita, this mix is just hot enough, thanks to the jalapeño in there. Toss some ice in your blender, or Vitamix, if you're lucky enough to have one. Add the tequila of choice, and the Margarita Mix, salt the edges of a glass, finish with a tiny sliver of lime, and you got yourself a prize margarita. But back to that seltzer: a splash of the Margarita Mix added to your glass of Pelegrino will give you that "lemon soda" feel. No, it's not a cleanse, but it's the same reaction in your mouth. Refreshing, light, satisfying. So not lemon soda. So way better than lemon soda, and somehow, sophisticated. This, as a respite from a weekend of heavy dinners and carbohydrate loaded meals. And I think it's my new best friend.
I am very particular about my Margaritas; the Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer’s fresh lime taste surprised me.
I have made jalapeno infused margaritas from scratch and Blue Crab Co’s mixer tastes home-made.
With Blue Crab Co’s Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer, I can say goodbye to all that lime squeezing.
This Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer is crisp, not cloying, and the subtle jalapeno infusion most refreshing.
Who does not enjoy a cool margarita on a hot day? The problem is making batch after batch to satiate thirsty guests. This Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer takes all the work away from making the perfect margarita.
Sweetened with sugar cane and spiced with jalapenos and sea salt, this mixer has none of the lesser qualities of a supermarket purchased margarita mix.
I love a good margarita every now and then. I typically go for a fruit flavored margarita but was intrigued with Blue Crab Bay Company's Jalapeño Infused Margarita Mix. When I tried it I was instantly in love! It wasn't overly sweet like some other margarita mixes I've tried. It had a fresh lime taste to it and provided the perfect hint of jalapeño. I invited some friends over for drinks one night and they enjoyed the margarita mix as well! These paired perfectly with the Shuckers Pecans! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the refreshments!
I am always up for a Margarita. When I saw the Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mix, I couldn't wait to try it. I was not disappointed. It had a tart, lime flavor, but had that bit of kick from the jalapeno. I could also taste pure cane sugar instead of an artificial sweetener. I think that made all the difference. I can't wait to bring this with me to my next get together with my friends to have them try it. I highly recommend it!

New for 2013, Blue Crab Bay Co.’s Jalapeno Infused Margarita Mixer has taken the winter trade shows by storm. The lime-based mixer is all natural and contains pure cane sugar. Not too sweet, it finishes with a hint of jalapeno. Its sea salt makes glass-rimming optional!
Blended and packaged in a 25 fl. oz. glass bottle here in the United States, the mixer comes in two versions: “undressed,” in a plain bottle with label, and “dressed,” in which the neck of the bottle is adorned with fishnet and a nautical cord.

Blue Crab Bay Co.’s story
In 1984, Pamela Barefoot had a dream: to move to Virginia’s Eastern Shore and survive with her creativity. The rural coastal peninsula, bounded by the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, offered a blank canvas for entrepreneurial opportunity, inspiring Barefoot to start her own business. Driving around the back roads in 1985, she envisioned items such as spice blends for clam and crab, two seafood species prevalent in the Chesapeake.
On the table in her farmhouse kitchen, she mixed seasonings and dreamed of specialties that would embrace the flavors of the region. That canvas began filling with all sorts of possibilities, including the creation of local jobs, raising awareness of the region’s natural resources, and getting her new homeland on the map. Not long after she began, she rented space above a waterfront restaurant and immediately experienced a devastating fire. She moved her fledgling business back home. Then Hurricane Gloria hit, causing significant damage.
Undaunted by the setbacks, Barefoot became more intent on realizing her vision. In 1986, she entered a contest in a national women’s magazine and wrote: “I envision someday having a multi-faceted operation … including mail order, wholesale regional foods, corporate gifts, and a retail shop.” Her entry netted an award of $7,500 and major national publicity.
Business steadily increased, and like the blue crab of its logo, the company experienced several moltings. Barefoot’s hard work paid off. In 1999, she was named Virginia’s Small Business Person of the Year, and in 2003 the U.S. Small Business Administration tapped her as one of the nation’s Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs.
Today, her Bay Beyond Inc., a Virginia certified Small, Women & Minority Owned business enterprise, markets the Blue Crab Bay Co.® brand, which features award-winners such as Sting Ray® Bloody Mary Mixer with Ocean Clam Juice; coastal themed snacks such as Barnacles® and Dune Buggies®; seasonings; seafood dip kits; and fishnet-wrapped gift packs. Product expansions include Blue Crab Bay Co. Stoneware by Dovis Designs©, which includes kitchenware, dinnerware, and serveware with a striking hand-painted blue crab motif; Bay Beyond® gourmet shelf-stable imported crabmeat; and Inner Ocean® nautical glycerin soaps, handmade with seaweed harvested from the Shore’s pristine marshes.
