New York Notes Preview: Mover and Shaker San Francisco-born BMX champion and actor Kurt Yaeger Stars in New Rudimental Video - SINGLE: WAITING ALL NIGHT (Ft. Ella Eyre) - APRIL 14 UK HEADLINE TOUR IN APRIL

Mover and Shaker Kurt Yaeger
Stay tuned for his next interview...

RUDIMENTAL are now premiering their brand new video, for the forthcoming single ‘Waiting All Night’, which is set for release on April 14 via Asylum Records.

It serves as the next instalment in a line of ground-breaking and multiple award-winning music videos including Feel The Love and Not Giving In, which between them share a staggering 27 million views on YouTube.

Based on the true life-story of San Francisco-born BMX champion and actor, our friend Mover and Shaker Kurt Yaeger, who became an amputee after an accident in 2006, the video was filmed in LA over 4 days using DV cameras and Go Pros. All the characters in the clip are pro BMXers and the real friends of Kurt, with Rudimental providing the perfect backdrop to this very personal account of his journey.

UK HEADLINE TOUR IN APRIL

London-based four-piece Rudimental will release ‘HOME’, their stunning debut album on April 29via Asylum Records. It includes the chart-topping ‘Feel The Love’, ‘Not Giving In’, with its empowering message for hard times, and the bittersweet street-record ‘Hell Could Freeze’ - with New York rapper Angel Haze. Dropping ahead of the album is the forthcoming Ella Eyre vocalled single - ‘Waiting All Night’ (out on April 14), currently enjoying radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, Capital FM and Choice. The video premiered this morning – watch it here now:http://youtu.be/M97vR2V4vTs

Winning critical acclaim as well as rapturous responses from live crowds, Rudimental are a collective with a strong musical heart in the shape of Piers Aggett, Amir Amor, Kesi Dryden and DJ Leon Locksmith. Like Soul II Soul, Massive Attack or Basement Jaxx before them, they have come together to strike musical gold with a unique identity: sound- clashing live instruments, beats and soulful voices. ‘HOME’ is a body of work hand crafted by Rudimental in their east London studio alongside a wealth of musicians and singers in their “extended family”. The A&R prowess of this band is highlighted with their choice of guests whose natural gravitation to the project is part of the magic that can be heard on this album. John Newman, whose old-school soul-boy voice powers the global smash ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’, MNEK, whose vocals can be heard on ‘Baby’ & the modern house classic ‘Spoons’, and Sinead Harnett who appears on the incredible ‘Hide’ , ‘Baby’ and title track ‘Home’ have all naturally immersed themselves in this melting pot collective.  Other appearances include Ella Eyre, Angel Haze, Alex Clare, Foxes, Becky Hill and fellow Hackney resident, the formidable Emeli Sandé - co-writer and singer on ‘More Than Anything’ and ‘Free’.

Themes of family, community and indeed home are woven into everything Rudimental do; their Music: The LP’s artwork (showing the Hackney ‘Peace’ Mural depicting a multi-cultural, musical and socially aware community): and their live gigs where the four core members are joined by live brass, percussion and rotating vocalists.

The band will take this carnival-esque live show - complete with extended Rudimental family - on the road next month with a UK headline tour. Kicking off in Glasgow on April 23, they play Liverpool, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford and Norwich, taking in London’s Electric in Brixton on May 2. This follows shows supporting Plan B on his sell out arena tour; Australia’s Future Music tour (alongside Stone Roses & Prodigy); and a US tour taking in SXSW and a main-stage slot at Miami’s Ultra Festival. Following the upcoming tour, Rudimental will also be appearing at T In The Park, Global Gathering, Bestival and Glastonbury festivals, with more to be announced soon.

Piers Aggett, Amir Amor, Kesi Dryden and Leon Rolle.
