This exhibit was first featured on Whom You Know:
It's another hit from The Met, and now that spring is in swing in New York, this is such an appropriate exhibit to view. The paintings of nature out in open air will bring you on a journey far from the Fifth Avenue entrance as you go back to a simpler time.
The level of detail we found absolutely exquisite, especially in buildings.
Also, as this includes Rome which of course had the world news organizations captured with the announcement of the new pope, The Met is very timely again just as they were with the McQueen exhibit and Kate Middleton's McQueen wedding dress.
It is possible to connect with nature even in a metropolis like Manhattan, and right now it is best done in this exhibit at The Met! Go see it.
