Manhattan is a place with cafes on every block, however, you've noticed we've written about few...one you need to know about is The Plenty Cafe. Why? They make everything fresh from scratch in their kitchen all day every day.
You are a busy person working away all day presumably, inbetween reading Whomyouknow.com posts of course, and you are not slaving away in your kitchen. You don't have to sacrifice quality in takeout. The Plenty Cafe has some fantastic dinner options like the Lasagna Bolognese! We were pleasantly greeted by Sasha when we arrived to pick up our order. The green salad is fresh and every component is sliced perfectly. They put the dressing on the side, which is how we asked for it.
It comes with a green salad and a roll (or biscuit if you prefer that) and this picture does not do the taste justice. It is a hearty serving that will comfort you and make you feel like you have a home-cooked dinner, because it is almost that! We noticed they have quite an extensive bakery as well.
We loved the mozzarella particularly and the sauce was robust in flavor. There are also veggie and low carb options if you are so inclined. The warm meatball plate, shown below, is also standout and we believe we ordered the beef meatballs. Among the best we've had recently! You can also order turkey meatballs. Don't stress yourself out about dinner...let them take care of it for you - you'll be glad you did!

Plenty is owned and operated by Jessica Weiss. Jessica wanted to open a local bakery and cafe where friends, family and food lovers can come together to eat delicious homemade pastries and savory food in an easy casual atmosphere. Jessica, who learned to cook and bake from her grandmother, is responsible for all of the food - both pastry and savory.
Everything served at Plenty is made on site using the best quality ingredients.
Plenty offers dine in, take out, delivery and a full scale catering operation. Orders can be placed on the phone or via fax.
