We know you all can add, and personally, Peachy Deegan loves math.  It's that simple, for the best hair in town add a visit to the resident Color Goddess of the Cutler Salon, Gaby Bowen, to a visit to the resident Stylist to the Stars Mover and Shaker Kelsy Osterman, and you will look your absolute best ever.  Those two visits equal total hair perfection, which can only be found at The Cutler Salon, official salon of Whom You Know.
When it is done, even the back of your head will be stunning.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves...we're starting with the end first...how did we get there?  We're sure you have probably seen recent pictures of Peachy in her overgrown look, just desperate to pop into Cutler so we will spare you the before picture.  Hair growth is part of life, and in our busy lives in Manhattan it is essential to work with a salon that values professionalism and results to the highest degree and Cutler is that.  We ought to know as we have worked with them for years, and Rodney Cutler sets the standard for excellence in hair.  Everything is sparkling clean at Cutler, and everyone is busy as bees in the business of being beautiful.

As you may remember, last December Peachy Deegan went back to her natural color of dark brown, however, now that it is summer she wants highlights.  This is not necessarily a strategy of anyone else, but in her mind, highlights are fun and as necessary for spring as the tulips on Park Avenue.  Readers, we want you to learn along with Peachy how hair reacts to the color process.  You cannot go from dark to light in 5 seconds like you can go from zero to 80 with your foot on the accelerator of the right speed machine.  Peachy's number one goal always is never to have red hair.  She'd actually rather have gray hair (and those strays are expertly covered by Gaby).  Another great aspect of Cutler is that they listen to their clients and are honest about what will work and what won't work and the colorist and the stylist consult with the client in tandem before one hair is touched, and a clear goal is established.  Cutler excels at communication, among other things.  You have no fear of winding up as someone's art project here unlike lesser salons where they could do what they want to your head as opposed to what YOU want.

Gaby tells us, "When you're going from darker to lighter, and trying to get back to your highlighted look for the summer it takes several times because you need to lift through the several times that it went darker and also there's preexisting highlights underneath that aren't always able to have a smooth transition back to light and could experience breakage.  I recommend few highlights.  I think we need to tone your hair with something ashier.  So we will do the single process with some highlights around your face and glazing it in order to neutralize the brassiness."

Foils were added around the hairline so Peachy Deegan did not get a dark rim, and a lightener was added to the tiny bits to make them a bit brighter safely.  A gradual color transition is key to keeping your hair healthy.  After careful calculations and applications by Gaby, the color was complete and Peachy Deegan was ready for a trim.

If you think cutting hair is an easy task, it is not.  Not that we would know firsthand, however, the longer we evaluate these processes the more we learn and Mover and Shaker Kelsy Osterman is King of the Hill, Top of the Heap in New York, New York we believe Sinatra would agree.  Though perhaps she'd like to be called Queen, though those are not the lyrics!  Kelsy is a total visionary for how your hair should look, and there is no one else that we would say to do what you think looks good.  Kelsy knows it all about how hair looks good.  She is a stickler for detail and gives the absolute best cuts and styles.  Our goal today was to take an inch or so off the length, keeping the long layers.  We wanted it to look super-flowy but still full and Kelsy achieved that.  The ends are trimmed and the look is in-shape.  Note if you are in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kelsy does hair there once every two months and you should be so lucky.

Peachy believe it or not has fine hair, but she has a lot of it.  So, good thing Kelsy has a lot of round bristle brushes!  It is the most exciting thing to have Kelsy style your hair because at the end you'll look so good people will stop and stare on the street.   Your friends will do a double-take wondering if it is really you, and the best part is, it is!  You, but better.

The Cutler Salon continues to earn our highest recommendation.

In other hot news from Cutler, we are pleased to see that Pureology is there now!  We love those lines from Redken.
