Charlotte Tarantola Spray Yarn V-Neck Pullover Highly Recommended by Whom You Know! The Perfect Summer Casual Sweater, Says Peachy Deegan
It may be summer, but some places are air-conditioner-happy and it can get cool at night, especially if you are by the water. Summer sweater weather is decidedly different from winter sweater weather, so we need great summer sweaters of course! We love this Spray Yarn V-Neck Pullover by California designer Charlotte Tarantola, who has had quite the hit parade on Whom You Know this week.
The neckline is round and soft. The length is appropriate, and this fits well and is not overly bulky at all. What we love best is its intelligent design and illusion, making all that wear it appear taller and thinner because of those genius side white diamonds. You know diamonds are a girl's best friend.
Those diamonds are right there with you at the back as well. And the stitching is perfect, and we like the open row of stitches near the neck and at the diamonds, adding to the overall allure.
Close-up, you can see what we mean...
This is the story of a young girl with a sparkling dream. Her name is Charlotte Tarantola. Growing up in Eugene, Oregon, young Charlotte had a passion for painting, art and design. Little did she know that fashion was in her blood until she stumbled upon a family attic filled with reams of fine fabrics and endless spools of rhinestone trimming. She then learned that generations of family members had worked in the fashion business. And so, the attic full of treasures proved that her course was set – it was a sign of her past and the map to her future.
With a one-way ticket in hand, Charlotte set out for New York City where she enrolled at The Fashion Institute of Technology. Her passion for design, a keen sense of garment construction and an entrepreneurial spirit guided Charlotte through various design opportunities where she honed her craft. For six years she worked for a range of fashion brands, but the same driving force that took her from Eugene to New York moved Charlotte to strike out on her own.
She switched coasts once again, this time to Los Angeles, where Charlotte was immediately drawn to the city’s vintage thrift stores and Old Hollywood glamour. Through a combination of talent and timing, Charlotte struck gold with innovative graphic tee shirts inspired by vintage postcards. Fred Segal quickly took notice and Charlotte’s sweet dream came true in 1996 when she launched her namesake collection, CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA.
In the years since the debut of CHARLOLTTE TARANTOLA, the brand has come to epitomize “flirty, feminine charm” with signature tees, knit tops and cardigans. Inspired by a variety of artistic influences, CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA captures the essence of timeless, classic looks and presents them in a novel and feminine way, making each piece fresh yet familiar. Confident prints, vibrant color combinations, and flattering silhouettes are hallmarks of the brand. Playful accents like rich jewels, lace, beading and sequins complete each collection. Charlotte’s design philosophy remains true to her artistic roots: “Each piece begins as a canvas and is an occasion to create art.”
The CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA brand embraces Charlotte’s artistic background, carries on her family heritage and creates charming looks for women who want to be noticed. The CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA Collection includes sweaters, tees, bottoms, dresses, camisoles, layering pieces and accessories including scarves and gloves.
CHARLOTTE TARANTOLA is available at fine department and specialty stores nationwide.
Dreams really do come true!
