New MarmarSuperstar Magnetic Necklaces by Mark Poulin Cleverly Showcase Adorable Art

Ooooh we do love supercute bunnies, and
Oakland jewelry artist Mark Poulin has launched a new line of MarmarSuperstar Magnetic Jewelry that showcases his adorable drawings. With cats, dogs, wild animals, and even famous scientists, there’s something to appeal to everyone. Known for his sterling silver animal-themed charm jewelry, Mark Poulin branched out into magnets and pins as a way to reach a younger audience with his designs and to incorporate color into his line at a lower price point than his hand crafted enamel work. Incorporating his drawings, each pin or magnet is a tiny 1” vignette, featuring animals, science themes, or cheeky phrases, like “I’m Not Listening.” After his magnets and pins became an overnight success, Mark wanted a way to make his magnets wearable as jewelry. After much experimentation and a few failed prototypes, he arrived at a design he’s happy to share with the public. Each Magnetic Necklace is a pewter pendant hand-made in the USA from Mark’s original design. Magnets can be snapped in and out of the pendant from over 300 designs for endless possibilities.

Magnetic Necklace Sets are sold in a reusable tin that includes a Magnetic Necklace on a 30” ball chain and three coordinated magnets. Tweens and Moms alike will love the low price of $22 for the set. Magnets come in packs of 4 for $6. Magnetic Necklace Sets and additional magnets can be purchased at markpoulin.com.

Mark Poulin loves drawing and creating cartoon characters. Starting as a ceramic artist, an earthquake led him to work with the less fragile medium of jewelry after a friend convinced him to take a class. He’s been known for his jewelry ever since, infused with a childlike sense of wonder and playfulness. Mark Poulin has since branched out into art prints, pewter charms, and magnetic jewelry with his MarmarSuperstar line and his Modern line includes elegant pearl and colorful vitreous enamel pieces with geometric and organic designs.
