Whole Wheat Roll-Up Flat Bread by Damascus Bakeries Highly Recommended by Whom You Know!!!

Substituting flat bread for regular bread is always a good idea when making a sandwich or anything else that requires bread. Cutting out the carbs is a priority for many people these days. However, I not only look to reduce my carb intake, but it is also very important for me to be eating whole grains like whole wheat. Damascus Bakery has a great product that serves both my interests. Their Whole Wheat Roll-Up flat bread cuts the carbs and adds essential whole wheat into my diet. I even made a delicious whole wheat pizza using the roll up. I created this simple dinner idea just by topping the roll-up with tomato sauce, cheese, oregano, parsley, and basil. Then, I popped it in the toaster oven for a few minutes, and it was pizza night! It was so delicious, and so much healthier than eating regular pizza!
Can you really have your bread and eat it too? If you're asking Damascus Bakery, the answer is a resounding yes! Dedicated to making healthy, natural, low-carb, and most importantly, TASTY bread products, Damascus Bakery has given healthy eaters a reason to rejoice! Too often, when companies cut carbs and calories, they do so at the expense of taste and/or size, and consumers are left with anemic-tasting, unsatisfying products. However, Damascus Bakery has truly managed to find the right balance of healthiness and tastiness. I recently tried their Whole Wheat Roll-Ups, and was amazed at the hearty wheat flavor that was packed into only 110 calories. I wrapped up a yummy Egg Beater, cheese, and turkey sausage frittata in one for my Saturday brunch, and found it immensely satisfying and flavorful. These Whole Wheat Roll-Ups are winners in my book - I will definitely be using them a lot more in the future~!
For the Whole Wheat All Natural Roll-up, I went a more-traditional route. I used the roll-up to bring together a turkey wrap with lemon mayonnaise, medium cheddar, lettuce and tomato. The result was a fresh and healthy tasting wrap. The Whole Wheat All Natural Roll-up brought a heartiness to the wrap, both in taste and structure. The roll-up held together well, not tearing or crumbling. While I ate it immediately after putting it together, it would definitely have held up if you wanted to pack in in a lunch to eat later. The Whole Wheat All Natural Roll-up is a great alternative to a regular sandwich. In the future, I would definitely reach for this to make a wrap instead of bread to make a sandwich.
If you've a crowd coming over, or need sandwiches for a lunch bag, rollups are your solution. Grab anything in the morning, and put it on a flatbread, and it's exotic! The whole wheat isn't dry like some versions of flatbread out there. It's moist, and delicious and works with anything at all. Warm, in the oven, for breakfast, or spread with ham and cheese for lunch, it's a natural solution to hunger pangs. Low in fat, easy on the palate, and light on the stomach, a roll-up works as a snack or a meal. Damascus makes a family business into a health conscious organization, providing breads for the nation in a generous array of flavors and shapes.

The roll-ups come in four types: Garden and Grains, Flax, Whole Wheat andPlain. And unlike many other flatbreads, the Bake Sense Roll-Ups are supple and fold easily over grilled meats, spreads and vegetables or deli meats and cheeses – while offering health benefits from chia and flax seeds. They also are a delicious base for pizza, or can be cut into wedges and quickly baked to make chips for creamy hummus or spicy guacamole.

The Bake-Sense Roll-Ups were created by Damascus Bakeries in Brooklyn. The bakery is owned and operated by third-generation bakers David and Edward Mafoud. The two brothers, whose maternal grandfather started the bakery in 1930, believe that bread is a labor of love. And that love goes into each package of their pita, lahvash, panini and roll-ups.

The Mafoud's also believe in the credo “Keeping well beats getting well,” which was the inspiration for the Bake Sense Roll-Ups. The flatbreads contain heart-healthy fibers, proteins and nutrients while also being low incalories and carbs. The Bake Sense Roll-Ups were designed to naturally help promote weight management and well being.

But health aside, the roll-ups are pliable and delectable. For instance, the Garden and Grain Roll Ups have ingredients that read like the offering at a farmers market stand. The flatbreads contain red and green bell peppers, onion, spinach and sunflower seeds – which makes them as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate.
