From Our Friends at Fresh Origins: What’s New on the Farm! July 2013

We have known Fresh Origins for ages now and they set the standard for excellence in Peachy's Pantry.    They are always striving for new ways to be even better, which we greatly admire.
Here are their latest and greatest:
Peanut Leaf
Delicious & nutty! This new leaf has the
taste of roasted peanuts. It can be eaten fresh
or cooked with foods. No worry about nut allergies;
it is a leafy vegetable from Asia, not related to
any nuts. The wonderful nutty taste pairs well
with salads & stir-fry. Float on cream soups.  H
igh in Vitamins A, B & C, protein & minerals.
10 X more protein than spinach. 10 X more calcium
than spinach. 20 X more Vit. C than spinach. This new item
was brought to us by Botanical Explorer, Joseph Simcox.
Chicken Satay with Spicy Peanut Sauce

Begonia Angelwing Leaf

A truly new & unique item for
the culinary world. Exotic wing-shaped
leaves with striking colors of maroon & pink.
Refreshing lemony tart flavor. 4”-5” long.
Strong & durable. Use as a beautiful edible
bed or wrap for shrimp, scallops, & sautéed
veggies. Stick in whipped potatoes, stand
straight up to add dramatic color & height.
