NY NOW® NEW! COLLECTION DEBUTS AT SUMMER MARKET 250 Cross-Category Suppliers New to the Market Showcased At Pier 94

NY NOW NEW! – one of four new product collections to debut at the summer edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home & Lifestyle (formerly NYIGF®) – will introduce some 250 new-to-market exhibitors at New York City’s Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94, August 17-20, 2013.

“Based on high demand for exhibit space from new suppliers, we’ve already increased the NY NOW NEW! collection by nearly 10% for its summer 2013 debut, and we’re on pace to be sold out with 20,000 net square feet of exhibit space this August,” said Christian Falkenberg, NY NOW director and GLM senior vice president.

NY NOW NEW! features merchandise across the home and lifestyle spectrum, with companies and products representative of NY NOW’s other three collections. Within the NEW! collection, HOME is presented by Ambatal Textiles; Bcrome; Jan Johnson; and Orientalist Home; and LIFESTYLE is offered by Elf Fun; Oyobox; Spoonk Space; Sundee White; and Tiny Opera Tees. HANDMADE is showcased within the NEW! Collection’s Artisan Jewelry Showcase, which features more than 30 designer-makers including: Beads by Bettina; Bronwen; Mark Steel; and Stephani Putter.

A special welcome reception will be held on Saturday, August 17, from 5:00-6:00 p.m., to celebrate the opening day of NY NOW’s NEW! collection. Retailers are invited to enjoy a glass of wine, compliments of NY NOW, while browsing the NY NOW NEW! collection at Pier 94. Additionally, a special NY NOW NEW! preview display will be installed in the South Concourse of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to generate additional visibility for products to be featured at Pier 94.

NY NOW NEW! will be open Saturday, August 17, through Tuesday, August 20, with extended evening hours until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, and Monday, August 19.

NY NOW, the Market for Home & Lifestyle, will run Saturday, August 17, through Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94. NY NOW’s four comprehensive collections – HOME, LIFESTYLE, HANDMADE and NEW! – will encompass 100,000 products in 400+ product categories.
