We originally featured this exhibit here:
It is one of the most creative exhibits we've ever seen at The Met, and one of the most innovative as well.  It is unexpectedly fun and exciting!  Filled with ambiguity, Ken Price Sculpture is truly a party for your imagination.  Designed by Ken's friend Frank Gehry (remember he has done some great work for Tiffany's!) -they were friends since the 1960's before Ken's somewhat recent passing- this exhibit is thoroughly modern but not weird and off-putting like some drastic modern art can be.  How often do you see us featuring Modern Art here?  Not often.  We liked this one!  If you also read the Barbapapa books as a child, this exhibit will make you think of them.  (http://www.barbapapa.fr/)  The "Zizi" made us think of toothpaste shooting out of a tube.  Many seemed inspired by inflated balloons and the clown that would blow them up.  You'll see speckles and freckles and lots that could be a screensaver on your computer.  You'll wonder if some are creatures from the sea.  We like the sea turtle cup but cannot figure out why he is a blind sea turtle.  Color!  Texture!  Fun!  Treat yourself to Ken Price at The Met, our favorite museum.  One more reason why they are the best...
