Vermont Raw Nut Butter Coconut Butter Recommended by Whom You Know. We are Pleased to Announce Inaugural Coverage of Vermont Raw Nut Butter as they introduce a line of Certified Organic Raw Nut/Seed Butters That You Will Adore!
I've been making a concerted effort to live a more healthy lifestyle. Needless to say, I was thrilled to try the stone ground, organic, raw coconut butter by Vermont Raw Nut Butter (VRNB)! I have never used coconut butter so this was uncharted territory for me. I decided to make one of my all-time favorite cookies- chocolate chip cookies with shredded coconut and Malibu(!). Now, normally these cookies are delicious, but by adding a touch of the organic raw coconut butter, these cookies became magical! VRNB's organic raw coconut butter is out of this world! It is creamy, rich and tasty. What I love most about the product is that it is hand-crafted in small batches using certified organic ingredients which are processed through a low temperature, stone ground technique. It's this technique that preserves the nutrients! Vermont Raw Nut Butter's organic raw coconut butter is 100% vegan, gluten-free and free from pesticides! What's not to love?
I must admit, I had never heard of coconut butter. I’m generally not a huge fan of coconut, so that’s not a surprise. What WAS a surprise was how much I enjoyed this organic raw coconut butter. It definitely gave me a different take on coconut. Try mixing some into your berry syrup and having it over pancakes or waffles in the morning. The taste of coconut and berries tastes like it’s straight out of the Caribbean. Treat yourself to a little vacation in the morning… I’m sure it would be delicious on toast, bagels, yogurt or even ice cream too.
This is not the 1950's, and we're not limited to a quick "PB&J" after school. The world is our oyster, and there are so many things available in the raw and natural foods world that it's astounding. Yes, you can make your own nut butters, but if Vermont Raw Nut Butters is out there doing it for you, why risk it? Nuts are the food of the gods, the life force captured in essence. When ground raw, below a certain temperature, all of the goodness in the nut and seed is retained. And passed along to the consumer. There is a wealth of knowledge out there as to why we should include nuts in our diet, and vegetarianism is no longer a dirty word. But be sure to afford yourself the real stuff, when you go shopping. Roasted nuts just don't pack the wallop that raw nuts give. In nut butters, their benefits are self evident. Vermont grounds their nuts and seeds below 100 degrees, in small batches. This means healthy! Keep them refrigerated after you open them, and start your ideas flowing. "Truffles" made with Coconut Butter, from Vermont, with dates, blueberries, cacao powder, and figs, rolled in chia seeds: fast and easy snack.
I love anything that has to do with peanut butter but never in my life had I heard of coconut butter. That is why I was so excited to try Vermont Raw Butter Organic Coconut Butter. This was amazing. Smooth and creamy and bursting with pure coconut taste. I tried the coconut butter in a banana and strawberry smoothie for something different. I couldn't believe how yummy it tasted. It would be fantastic on toast, coffee cake or even ice cream.
