BONHAMS APPOINT NEW RUSSIAN REPRESENTATIVE IN MOSCOW ANASTASIA VINOKUROVA JOINS BONHAMS, THE INTERNATIONAL FINE ART AUCTION HOUSE

Bonhams announced today that it has appointed Anastasia Vinokurova as its new representative in Moscow with immediate effect.

Born in Moscow, her interest in art was fostered by her grandmother Alla Vereshagina, an art historian specializing in 19th century Russian painting.

She graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2005, with a Master of Arts (History of Art) focused on Indian art and architecture. Her thesis was dedicated to South Indian architecture in particular and she plans to do a PhD based on the interaction of architecture and sculpture of Hoysala dynasty temple complexes.

After graduating she worked as an editor for a Russian television and broadcasting network and in 2005 she joined The Voice of Russia as a journalist.

Moving from journalism into public relations she worked as the PR manager for Real Estate consultancy DTZ for two years and then four years for art institutions.

In 2009 she joined the Russian Academy of Arts as press secretary where she wrote content for the website of the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, produced copy for new exhibitions and assisted with visitors.
