Brandywine Mushroom soup by Bookbinder Specialties Loved by Whom You Know!!! Stock Up For Fall Now.
One of the best ways to stay healthy is to always eat your vegetables. An easy way to do this is by having a vegetarian soup with your dinner. Don't worry about the preparation though, Bookbinder Specialties has done all the work for you. They have created a delicious Brandywine Mushroom soup that tastes amazing and is full of mushrooms and other healthy vegetables. All the ingredients are natural and gluten-free, and you can tell by the taste. I would swear this soup was made fresh in the kitchen!
I am the only person in my family who enjoys mushrooms. This is great news as it meant no one wanted to have any of my Bookbinder's Brandywine Mushroom soup and there was more for me! Old Original Bookbinder's restaurant has been a part of Philadelphia's history since 1865. For those of us who can't make it to the restaurant, we are in luck as their soups, breadcrumbs and seasonings are available for purchase in specialty and grocery stores nationwide. This soup was inspired by recipes from the Brandywine Valley which is the mushroom capital of the world! A blend of fresh mushrooms in a sherry wine base, this soup is delicious as is or it can be used as stock for gravy. You can't go wrong with any of the Bookbinder soups and with Fall quickly approaching, I suggest you stock up your pantry for soup season!
Is it the sherry? Is it the back-to-back chopped mushrooms? The flavor of this soup is enough to make you want to get your winter on now. But it's oh, so good as a week day filler for a meal you don't have the time to cook. Add some cream ( I used Mimicreme, a vegan nut product that works wonders as a cream substitute), some sautéed celery, and enjoy. These jars of soup, by Bookbinders Specialties hold enough for two meals, so invite a friend for a movie night at your house. The flavor is wonderful, the mushrooms filling, and the soup is perfectly seasoned. Tasting these soups from Bookbinders Specialties will make you want to peek into the kitchen to meet the chef, they're that good. As a loyal fan of Bookbinder's restaurant in Philadelphia, I can only say how happy I am to bring them home with me. A little soup, a little joy. Life is good.
“We’re a small company focused on providing the ultimate in quality and convenience for our customers,” said Colin O’Neil, Bookbinder’s New Business Manager. “We recognize there is a growing need for great tasting, healthy foods that can be easily prepared. Furthermore, Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity are increasing and many people need a range of healthy and great tasting alternatives.”
Bookbinder Specialties will be showcasing two food service products, their brand-new, all-natural and gluten-free New England Clam Chowder and their legendary Snapper (turtle) Soup. Their award winning line of all natural, gluten free, ready-to-serve vegetable soups, in 15 oz glass jars will also be on display.
The first four flavors in the gourmet line, which were introduced in 2010, were awarded a gold medal in the 2011-2012 Gourmet Products Awards. Dozens of food judges, including VIPs, celebrity chefs, professional consultants and specialty retail store owners, selected the Bookbinder soup line as the best new gourmet product in the Soup, Stews and Beans category. The four original flavors included Butternut Squash and Mushroom Soup, Zesty Tomato Soup, Brandywine Mushroom Soup, and Sweet Burgundy Onion Soup. The awards revealed the growing interest in gourmet taste, healthy ingredients, green packaging, and supporting charitable causes. Since then, the gourmet soup line has expanded with four new unique flavors including Cuban Black Bean Soup, Irish Potato Leek, Tuscan Minestrone, and Sicilian Tomato-Zucchini Bisque.
