5th Anniversary - LONDON show ROOMS-Breaking News From Across the Pond!
The British Fashion Council tells us:
LONDON show ROOMS Paris SS14 Private View hosted by Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent today celebrated its 5th anniversary and marked the 30th showroom since its inception in October 2008. See the full image gallery from the event here.
Key stores who attended the Private View included Ikram, Colette, Maria Luisa, Harvey Nichols, A'marees, Dover Street Market, Feathers, Beams, Isetan, 10 Corso Como, Joyce, Net-a-Porter, Galerie Lafayette and Printemps.
Key international publications included 10 Magazine Australia, Purple, Vogue China, M Le Monde, Grazia France, Vogue Italy, Now Fashion, Vogue USA, CR Fashion Book, Harper's Bazaar USA, W Magazine, Buzzfeed, A Shaded View On Fashion, Dujour, T Magazine (New York Times) and WWD Japan.
Key UK publications included Tank, LOVE, Stylist, The Independent, The Evening Standard, The Telegraph,Sunday Times Style, Wallpaper and Vogue UK.
The showroom travels to four key markets – Paris, LA, New York and Hong Kong, with November seeing it expand to São Paolo, Brazil.
Previous and current womenswear designers who have participated in one or more of the different showrooms include Christopher Kane, Erdem, House of Holland, Jonathan Saunders, J.W. Anderson, Marios Schwab, Mary Katrantzou, Meadham Kirchhoff, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Pilotto, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Ilincic and Simone Rocha. Menswear designers include Aitor Throup, Christopher Shannon, E. Tautz, James Long and Lou Dalton.
Over the five years, over 100 designers have participated showcasing to over 15,000 visitors and over 5500 orders have been taken.
LONDON show ROOMS is a globally recognised, unique showcasing initiative and is essential in supporting and promoting British design talent internationally through directly working with media, retailers and the broader fashion industry in each region.
