New York pizza is not all the same, contrary to the belief of some that have not eaten so much of it.  The variety and quality of pizza in Manhattan has a high variance, and we search for the best constantly.  We've found a new spot we're incredibly impressed with: Lexington Pizza Parlour.  Who knew that such quality could be found so far north?  They also earn high points for creativity starting with the salads.  We tried the Blood Orange Roasted Fennel salad.
The salad name alone tells you this is not a run-of-the-mill neighborhood pizza joint, and when you taste the ingredients of frisse, blood orange, roasted fennel, and shavings of Grana Padano cheese with balsamic vinaigrette your suspicions will be confirmed: this spot is sophisticated.  A superb combination and very fresh ingredients made this a salad to remember.
As an appetizer we opted for another unique option: Roman Artichokes.  Crispy long stem Roman Artichokes dance in a gorgeous white truffle herbed ricotta drizzled with 25 year old balsamic reduction.
This is one of the best appetizers we've had recently!  The flavor combination was simply divine.  You must try this winner.
It is now officially freezing in Manhattan, so what could be better than a piping hot delicious pizza, especially of this quality?  For pizza reviews Peachy always picks what she likes on the pizza and she likes pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, peppers and garlic.  They were delivered in an ideal proportion on a incredible crust proving that this is authentic brick oven pizza.
Is your dinner going to look this excellent tonight?  It will if you go to the Lexington Pizza Parlour.  You won't believe this is on the corner of 101st!  It's only been open for four months so be a trendsetter too and try it, and tell them Peachy sent you.  When you tell your friends about it they'll have to open a bigger location...this place is amazing.
Lexington Pizza Parlour is Terrific Takeout!
And we love their devotion to antiques.
