Washington Capitals Players to Participate in Movember Movember participants raise awareness for men’s health by growing a moustache
The Washington Capitals will participate in men’s health campaign Movember during the month of November.
Movember is the annual charity event that engages men to grow, and women to support, a Mo for the 30 days of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues including prostate and testicular cancer. Supporters, called Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, get friends, family and colleagues to donate to their efforts along the way.
Participating Capitals players include Karl Alzner, Troy Brouwer, John Carlson, Jason Chimera, Martin Erat, John Erskine, Mike Green, Braden Holtby, Michael Latta, Michal Neuvirth, Steve Oleksy, Alex Ovechkin, Nate Schmidt, Alexander Urbom, Aaron Volpatti and Tom Wilson.
Since 2003 three million participants have raised more than $446 million for the cause, funding more than 570 programs globally. Movember programs are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer and research to achieve a permanent impact on the face of men’s health.
