Washington Capitals to Host Hockey ‘n Heels Wednesday, Novovember 13, 2013 Participants will learn about hockey from Capitals players, coaches and staff
The Washington Capitals will host Hockey ‘n Heels on Wednesday, Novovember 13, from 6-9 p.m. at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va. The event is held exclusively for Club Scarlet members in partnership with 97.1 Wash FM and features instructional sessions and on-ice demonstrations targeted towards the Capitals female audience.
Hockey ‘n Heels is held each season and provides female fans the opportunity to learn about hockey from players and coaches.
The night will be divided into sessions of on-ice demonstrations from current and former Capitals players and coaches, as well as off-ice presentations including a Q & A with head goaltender coach Olie Kolzig and a video session with video coach Brett Leonhardt. In addition head equipment manager Brock Myles will discuss equipment worn by the team during an equipment session in the Capitals locker room.
Players scheduled to appear are defensemen Karl Alzner, Steve Oleksy and Alexander Urbom and forward Tom Wilson.
Founded in 2009, Club Scarlet is a fan club for women designed to provide more information, events and networking opportunities for the team’s population of female fans.
