There is nothing I look at more in a day then my planner/calendar. I am constantly adding to it and referring to see what meeting or lunch date I am going to next. Therefore, it is the one of most important accessories I own. Per Annum has a great desk calendar. It has red leather jacket that surrounds the calendar and gives it an edgy stylish look. It is the perfect size and allows you to see your whole month at a glance. Generous room to write down all the components to you day. As a mother, I even have room to write what my little ones are doing on a daily basis to keep my life on track. Plus, having it tailored to NYC is genius. It basically has a Zagat's built in with great restaurants and contact numbers although of course Peachy's Picks trumps that list. All categories of local stores and theaters add to the fun. I have already been writing down my ski weekends and important dates in this all-encompassing book. Cannot wait for 2014 to get in full swing!

Their 2014 Manhattan Daily Plan-It not only contains a day-to-a-page calendar, but also a wealth of invaluable resources for any New Yorker. It also features full color, easy-to-read street, bus, and subway maps - definitely a fantastic feature! And what I love about it, especially in this digital age, is that the information is accessible all the time! No need to worry about losing service and not being able to call up information while riding on the subway, or forgetting to charge it and being unable to use it! There's a lot to be said for a good, old-fashioned paper organizer, and I am a huge fan! Also, with my busy schedule, it's a real treat to have a full page for each calender day - there's more than enough room on each page to write in all of my various activities without overcrowding or trying to squeeze things in. And despite all of the information inside, in addition to the daily calendar, the Daily Plan-It is a very manageable size - 5.5" x 8.5" without a cover and 6"x9" with a cover (mine has a gorgeous red simulated leather cover - love it!). Hands down, the 2014 is simply a must-have for any active New Yorker!
