 A breathtaking exhibit at The Met that you must see before the end of April is by the talented Antonio Canova: seven detailed biblical plaster models grace the walls of The Met now on the first floor towards the back, and just gazing at each of them will bring you worlds away as you imagine his labor of love going into each extraordinary work.  Even more meaningful to note when you view them: they were his last works.

These works are newly restored, and this is their first visit ever to the United States; six are from Venice and one is from Possagno.  We are so lucky to have so much of the world at our fingertips in Manhattan, thanks to the efforts of The Met!
