From heart-rate monitors worn on the wrist to handheld devices measuring fat percentage and muscle quality, the latest in digital health and sports and fitness technology will be on display at the upcoming CE Week 2014. Known as the CE industry’s top annual mid-year event, CE Week brings together media, analysts and technology thought leaders for product debuts, a robust conference program and networking events all focused on innovative technology. CE Week 2014 is scheduled June 23-27 in New York City, with the CE Week Exhibits and Conference Program scheduled June 25-26 at the Metropolitan Pavilion/Altman Building.

“We are proud to take part in our first CE Week and launch our groundbreaking wearable product in the US,” said Tero Mennander, CEO, PulseOn. “PulseOn brings you a combination of comfort and stylish design like you’ve never seen before, to make heart rate monitoring easier than ever. Our small and stylish wrist device measures your heart rate reliably and accurately from your wrist, without the need for a chest belt.”

The digital health and fitness category continues to soar, driving growth in the overall consumer technology market. In fact, research from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® found that more than 40 million personal health and wellness products were expected to sell in 2013, with that number expected to increase to more than 70 million by 2018. According to CEA, product sales and software and service revenues will see the largest growth, generating more than $3.3 billion in revenue in 2013 and more than $8 billion by 2018.

"We’re excited to return to CE Week in New York,” said Marco Peluso, CEO, Qardio. “Qardio makes healthcare smarter and we’re looking forward to showing how blood pressure and heart monitoring can be made reliable and yet easy to use."

In addition to exhibits, the CE Week Conference Program will focus on trends in digital health and fitness with sessions including:
Battle of the Bands – Scheduled for 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, this competition, produced by Living in Digital Times, will feature the top fitness bands which will go head-to-head to see who the audience crowns the best of show.
