Introducing a new basil flavor! Petite Basil Allspice™ is a unique, highly aromatic form of basil with flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove up front and the taste of basil in the background. There is a note of licorice as well. This basil pairs well with proteins such as beef, game, lamb and rabbit and root vegetables like carrot, turnip, and sweet potato. Spinach, tomato and pumpkin are also enhanced by this special basil. Of course it also combines well with desserts including fresh strawberries and ice cream.

Large leaves; deep green on the front side, maroon & green on the back side. Very strong cheese aroma & flavor, described by some as reminiscent of blue cheese or Livarot (French cheese.)
