HISTORY® EXPANDS FOOTPRINT IN EASTERN EUROPE WITH LAUNCH ON BELTELECOM IN BELARUS


HISTORY® will launch in Belarus to nearly a million homes via Beltelecom on July 15. The announcement was made today by Dean Possenniskie, Managing Director, EMEA, A+E Networks.

The premiere schedule for HISTORY in Belarus includes original, top-rated franchises such asPawn Stars®, American Pickers®, Counting Cars™, and Mountain Men®.

HISTORY is the #1 entertainment cable network in the US among men for the second consecutive year. In January 2014, HISTORY was the only top 10 network among A25-54 and A18-49 to experience year over year double-digit growth. HISTORY is a top 3 factual network in most markets across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. In Harris Interactive’s 2013 EquiTrend US tracking study, HISTORY received the “Brand of the Year” award for factual entertainment*, the second consecutive year the channel captured this title. 


HISTORY is available in more than 330 million households in 160+ territories and 38 languages worldwide.


* EquiTrend: A sample of over 38,500 U.S. consumers ages 15 and over were surveyed online by Harris Interactive from January 11 through February 8, 2013 and the survey took an average of 35 minutes to complete. Over 1,500 brands were rated in the study. Each respondent was asked to rate a total of 40 randomly selected brands. Each brand received approximately 1,000 ratings.
