Is there a more perfect food than potato stuffed with caviar? The answer to that is no.
Unless maybe you are talking about Salmon Roses on Black Bread.
Forget about walking like an Egyptian; it's time to eat like one! Owner of Food Passion Caterers, Ahmed Khalfia, is clearly master of the appetizer. Please meet our new friends: Potatoes stuffed with Caviar, and Salmon Roses on Black Bread which we loved the most from Food Passion Caterers. We could eat these every day: they were that fantastic. The exquisite design combined with the fresh ingredients team up for superior taste, and appetizers that also stay together in one piece for your best events, though we surmise they will not last long. There is nothing worse than an appetizer falling all over your best dress (and if that happens, call Hallak!).
If anyone ever is thinking about getting Peachy roses, these are the kind she likes.
If fish is your dish, we have all confidence in Food Passion Caterers as well. Their extensive menu boasts an entire page devoted to fish and seafood entrees, and the poisson we tried were like hits out of the ballpark. Next up in the batting order was the entree: Grilled Sea Bass with Risotto that tasted like perfect clouds and superior haricot vert. The Sea Bass was a generous portion and tasted like it just jumped out of the water and onto your plate.
Again, the arrangement was beautiful which makes you even more excited to eat it. The color in the dish was particularly striking and the crisp in the vegetables was apparent with every crunch.
Ahmed must have been reading how Peachy adores green beans in particular; again they came to the Poached Salmon with Dill Sauce party. The salmon was pure quality and the flavorful, creamy dill sauce accent was divine. We also adored the texture of the salmon. Roasted almonds made for the perfect classic touch to the green beans.
Though this is our first Food Passion Caterers experience, according to the Fish and Seafood Entree list there does not look like there's a bad choice on there. From Sauteed Shrimp with Wine and Garlic to Filet of Sole Francaise to Lobster Thermidor and Lobster Newburg, you will find at least 5 things you must try.
We also tried a hearty dish from their meat entree section: Veal Stew, which was decadent. The tender bite-sized chunks of veal were further enhanced by white wine, mushroom caps and peas over rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. Though you may feel this is more of a wintery entree, we found it very convincing in this summer heat.
Finally, Ahmed suggested we try a Mexican dish: Flantas. This is our inaugural Flantas experience-if you are also new to them you should know that they are filled tightly rolled corn tortillas. This winner contained white onion, chicken, red pepper and cheddar cheese and every bite was just smashing. They're in a good proportion to each other as well we noted when we cut it open:
