Though we saw many items we'd like to consider, the one item we agreed upon were the Washable Silk Pajamas. We love the color, and we hope you have some relaxing days lined up to luxuriate on your couch or on someone else's during Winter Break! They are washable in that since they are 100% silk, they can be dry cleaned (Hallak has earned our Highest Recommendation) or you can machine wash them delicate cycle or hand wash them. T
hese pajamas combine the luxurious softness of natural silk with the carefree convenience of machine washing. The sandwashed silk used in these pajamas undergoes a proprietary treatment that allows it to be repeatedly machine washed without discoloring or shrinkage. Deftly illustrating Habutai—the Japanese word for downy and soft— the lightweight, shimmering material feels extravagantly smooth against the skin. The button-front top features a notched collar and matching piping. The elastic waist bottoms have a drawstring and piping on the cuffs. Includes up to three characters of monogramming. Periwinkle or Ivory-we chose Periwinkle and find it highly attractive, and we think this color will wear best. They are generously sized (we tried small) and are a perfect layer for under your favorite bathrobe. As far as traveling goes, they would not take up much room and would be ideal for travel.
