Lenovo Cuts Ribbon on New Research Triangle Park Enterprise Briefing Center Expands Customer Engagement Opportunities, Reaffirms Commitment to Growing Enterprise Business

Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today announced the opening of its North American Enterprise Briefing Center, a newly designed space that offers customers comprehensive access to the company’s entire portfolio of enterprise products, innovations and services.

Located on Lenovo’s Research Triangle Park campus and designed in partnership with The Brand Experience, an award-winning experiential design firm, the new Enterprise Briefing Center is 11,000 square feet of briefing space with equipment that customers can view, demo and interact with. The center will make several types of briefings available – including general solution meetings or themed briefings that focus on specific challenges and opportunities – to provide customers with a consolidated, one-stop-shop to brainstorm, test and experience Lenovo’s most progressive enterprise innovations.

“Today’s Enterprise Briefing Center opening represents a multimillion dollar investment in our enterprise business and confirms our commitment to become No. 1 in the global server market,” said Jay Parker, senior vice president, Enterprise Business Group. “The combination of our Stuttgart, Germany HPC innovation center, our near-term plans for the Stuttgart and Beijing Enterprise Briefing Centers and the opening of this center in Research Triangle Park allows us to better connect with and serve customers around the globe. These resources will give clients first-hand experience with the future of enterprise technology.”

The Lenovo Enterprise Briefing Center, developed in collaboration with industry leading partners, will leverage the knowledge and specific skills of Intel, Samsung Semiconductor, QLogic and Emerson Network Power, among others, to further expand capabilities and provide customers with more holistic solutions, which can best meet individual business needs. Additionally, visiting customers will have the opportunity to engage with onsite engineers and product specialists, as well as access to wide variety of systems, options, and data center infrastructure technology, for a deeper understanding of all available hardware, software and services.

As the North American counterpart to Lenovo’s nearly completed Beijing and Stuttgart Briefing Centers, the RTP Briefing Center opening is a major step in Lenovo’s effort to establish briefing centers in three major regional markets and offer customers comprehensive solutions for success. Today’s ribbon cutting will be followed by a guided tour of the facility for attendees and an open house for Lenovo sales representatives and reseller partners. Customers interested in coordinating a solution briefing or lab tour should contact their sales representative.

“There’s no better way to understand the game-changing benefits of our data center technologies than to see them in action,” said CJ Bruno, Intel vice president and general manager for the Americas. “Lenovo’s Enterprise Briefing Center allows customers to get greater exposure to the unique combined value of Lenovo enterprise solutions and the latest Intel® Xeon® processors, Intel solid state drives, and Intel Ethernet technologies.”

“Lenovo is using its Enterprise Briefing Center to demonstrate to its global customers how it is pushing the boundaries of enterprise innovation within the global marketplace together with other technology leaders like Samsung,” said Jim Elliott, corporate vice president, memory marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. “As evidenced by exhibits within the EBC, the strong partnership between Samsung Semiconductor and Lenovo is being underscored by Lenovo’s frequent use of our leading-edge Solid State drives (SSDs) and low-power DDR4 memory, as well as our industry-leading V-NAND and 20-nanometer (nm) process technologies, in new and upcoming enterprise (and PC) products.”

“Datacenter I/O capabilities can only be appreciated when shown in the context of an enterprise end to end solution. Lenovo’s Enterprise Briefing Center affords our customers the opportunity to see how advanced server networking and storage infrastructure can benefit them at this level,” said Tony Carrozza, senior vice president, worldwide sales, QLogic. “QLogic’s interconnect technologies and Lenovo’s enterprise portfolio provide the reliability and optimized performance that customers expect.”

“The Emerson Network Power and Lenovo partnership is an exciting collaboration that will benefit data center customers worldwide,” said Steve Hassell, president, Data Center Solutions, Emerson Network Power. “The synergy between innovative, leading infrastructure solutions and game-changing IT technologies provides solutions customers can use with confidence.”
