Mastiha Hand Cream by The Mediterranean Way Recommended by the Gorgeous Hands of Whom You Know

There's nothing worse than shaking someone's hand with sandpaper hands!
And, just because Old Man Winter is behind us (fingers crossed, especially for New England) doesn't mean you can forget about moisturizing your hands.
Air conditioning can be drying as well.
We've found a fantastic new cream to share with you:
With its list of wonderful ingredients, the Mastiha hand cream is a must try! In addition to mastic oil (I admit, I had to look up some history on this), it contains avocado oil, sesame seed oil, Aloe Vera, chamomile, and calendula to sooth, nourish and moisturize your hands. Mine felt wonderfully soft after using it. It has a mild, soapy-fresh scent that smells and feels clean, but not too strong.

Don’t leave home without it! This is a travel sized tube of hand cream that will soothe and re-plump your hands while you’re on that next road trip. Rub it on your elbows and knees. Rub it into any dry spot you may have after a rough winter. The Mastic used as a base for this cream is a rare and protected historical product that also lends anti-bacterial properties to the cream. Being practical never hurts.

Mastic Care Hand Cream has a clean, fresh scent. Paraben-free with natural oils it leaves a smooth finish. It disperses nicely and has no greasy feeling or residue. It is long-lasting even after several hand washings. A favorite of dermatologists too because of its hypoallergic properties of natural mastic, bio oils and herbs, it's my newest favorite.

Store owners and husband and wife team, Niko & Oana have brought their Mediterranean experience and passion of living in Tuscany and Greece back to Washington, DC and into their store.

By partnering with respected independent, and organic producers that they personally met, visited and dealt with while living abroad, they can now offer unique artisan products to their customers in Washington, DC and beyond.

After moving to the U.S. in 2011, owners Niko & Oana realized that even though Washington, DC was an international city with well-traveled people from all over the world living in the city, there was not a store offering authentic, high-quality Mediterranean products in the city. Realizing this void, the idea from The Mediterranean Way was born and put into motion.

Since opening the store in 2013, the store has been frequented by many top Mediterranean chefs in DC including celebrity chef Jose Andres and was listed by Washington Post Food editor Joe Yonan as one of his favorite new food stores in Washington, DC. The Mediterranean Way has shipped its unique products to over thirty states in the U.S. and to five countries.

Oana is a certified nutritional consultant and helps customers by offering advice based on their personal nutritional needs and goals.

Niko has an MBA in International Business from the University of South Florida and has over 10 years management consulting experience including working for Greek wine and olive oil producers.
