Patrick Mullins came on as a second-half substitute and scored his second goal of the season as New York City FC lost 2-1 to the New York Red Bulls on Sunday evening at Red Bull Arena.
The second-year player, who was selected fourth in the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft, latched onto anRJ Allen cross from the left side in the 76th minute. Mullins also scored in New York City FC's 2-0 victory over New England in the Historic Home Opener on March 15 at Yankee Stadium.
Here is the story of Mullins' day against the Red Bulls in video, statistics, photos, quotes and more.

Mullins scored his second goal of the season
Scored eight minutes after coming on as a substitute
Tied for team lead with David Villa and Mehdi Ballouchy in goals this season (2)
Mullins said:
"We've created opportunities, we've played some good soccer. What we want is more of our personalities to come out on the field and to make impactful plays at impactful times. I think that's the one thing we can look at ourselves and say, 'I know we can do that.'"
In the coach's words:
"
Patrick has been a guy for me that every time he plays, he gives us everything he has. That's appreciated. He makes intelligent runs, he gets behind the back four and he's on the end of things with two goals."
