New York City FC at Real Salt Lake: Spotlight on Josh Saunders
Josh Saunders continues to showcase why he has had a lengthy and successful playing career in Major League Soccer.
The 34-year-old veteran had four keys stops in New York City FC's 2-0 loss at Real Salt Lake on May 23 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
In the eighth minute, Saunders was quick to come off his line to slide tackle an on-rushing Devon Sandoval. The goalkeeper stymied the RSL forward yet again in the 15th minute. Sandoval found himself in space inside the box once more, but Saunders made himself big to reject the left-footed effort.
Saunders showcased his reaction time yet again in the 39th, parrying away a stinging free kick from Alvaro Saborio at the top of the circle and quickly pouncing on the rebound.
Here is the story of Saunders' day in video, pictures, quotes, statistics and more.

We came in here thinking we were going to get a positive result after last week's come-from-behind draw. We still took some positives away. There was good tactical play, we're creating chances. We'll move forward, keep doing the right things and try to get a win next week.
