Last Month's Mystery Landmark

The former Western Union Building at 60 Hudson Street in Tribeca, Manhattan. This massive brick-clad building occupies an entire city block and was once the headquarters of the Western Union Company. It contained shops, offices, an auditorium, a cafeteria, and classrooms. It now houses a variety of firms. It was built in 1928-30 and designed by Voorhees, Gmelin & Walker. Ralph Walker was the partner in charge. The interior and exterior of the building were designated as City Landmarks in 1991.

The building was correctly identified by David Golab, and his favorite landmark is the beautiful Central Park.

Similar look at 32 Avenue of the Americas
If you guessed 32 Avenue of the Americas, also known as the AT&T Long Distance Building in Tribeca, you were not that far off, it was built around the same time (1932) and was designed by the same architectural firm as the Western Union Building.
