The Artist Project, a new online video series, launches its third season on September 16. Over the course of a year, the series will feature 100 artists who have been invited to choose individual works of art or galleries at The Metropolitan Museum of Art that spark their imaginations. The series will be presented in five seasons of 20 episodes each.
Season 3 includes Vito Acconci, Ann Agee, Diana Al-Hadid, Ghada Amer, Luis Camnitzer, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Wenda Gu, Ann Hamilton, An-My Lê, Kalup Linzy, Vik Muniz,James Nares, Cornelia Parker, Sheila Pepe, Raymond Pettibon, Matthew Ritchie, Annabeth Rosen,Shahzia Sikander, and Thomas Struth.
The series premiered on March 25, 2015. Season 1 features Cory Arcangel, John Baldessari,Nayland Blake, Nick Cave, Enrique Chagoya, George Condo, Walton Ford, Natalie Frank, Zarina Hashmi, Deborah Kass, Nina Katchadourian, Nicola López, Alexander Melamid, Izhar Patkin, Tom Sachs, KatrÃn Sigurdardóttir, Mickalene Thomas, Kehinde Wiley, Xu Bing, and Lisa Yuskavage.Season 2 features Roz Chast, Willie Cole, Teresita Fernández, Spencer Finch, Roland Flexner,Jeffrey Gibson, Y.Z.
