Take a Trip to England: Peter Clarke, Senior Tour Guide Manchester City Football Club, Tells Whom You Know Readers About the Etihad Stadium Tour

Peter Clarke tells Whom You Know:

Tours of the Etihad take place every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Day & Easter Sunday and we generally take out around 6 – 10 tours per day with a maximum of 34 guests. Each tour lasts around 90 minutes.

The tour proper begins as you enter the main Colin Bell Reception in the footsteps of our team, (Colin Bell is one of our former players whom the fans voted as the one who should have the west stand named after him). The tour then proceeds to the first floor and takes in the Chairman’s Club, our premier suite for match-day hospitality, and on to the Directors Seating Area. This is the guests first view of the stadium bowl and usually brings gasps from the uninitiated. The guide would at this point give information about the stadium origins, (it was originally built for the Commonwealth Games), and after enjoying the luxurious seating and plenty of photo opportunities we would move on to:

The Press Conference Room – Guests are given the opportunity to ask questions and then take their place in the managers chair. Moving on we pass through the player’s lounge to the:

11/12 Room – This room is dedicated to Manchester City’s first Premier League win particularly the moment in injury time when Sergio Aguero scored the goal that most pundits believe was the most iconic moment in Premier League history.

Next port of call is the First Team Warm-up Room where our guests are told all about pre-match activities and the team’s preparations before the game. Then it’s on to:

The Home Team Changing Room: Without doubt the most popular area on the tour. Guests get to sit in the seat of their favourite City player and hear stories of great moments, inspirational players and managers with plenty of amusing anecdotes. We then head on to the penultimate area:

The Tunnel, Pitchside and the Manager’s Dugout – Running out of the tunnel to the sound of 55,000 fans cheering you on is something that you cannot image until we give you the opportunity to experience our surround sound! Guests can then pretend to be the manager, sit in his dugout and shout his team on.

The final place we visit is the Exhibition Room where guests can wander around at their leisure enjoying memorabilia, interactive screens and videos.

And that Peachy is the Manchester City Stadium & Club Tour!!!
