It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and now we know Grace, thank goodness. Do you know how difficult it is to find someone that really knows what they are doing with clocks? Do you think we are going to leave our beloved clocks with just anyone?!?! NO! Grace is not just anyone: she is SMART and she CARES. Not everyone is; not everyone does. Clocks for Grace are her love and vocation; her analytical, mechanical mind meet the most challenging systems of time with victory. After all of our research (if you see a day when we are not publishing-know we are still working! Believe it or not, research takes the most time, finding the cream that rises to the top...), there is no doubt in our mind that Grace is the best at clocks in Manhattan. She's been in her current Greenwich Avenue location downtown since 1978, and she studied clocks. That's right, Grace went to school in Poland to study clocks and in 1983, she purchased this business and it has been tick-tocking splendidly ever since we understand. This is our first visit ever. Grace works on antique clocks, watches and many vintage pieces and has a vast Rolex selection. She also offers clocks for sale in addition to doing customer repair.
Recently, she worked on two of Peachy's clocks and we are reminded of her great work when we hear them every half hour! Do not try to fix your own clocks...you absolutely need an expert for this, and Grace is the best we've met!
