HBO's VICE Special Report: Fighting ISIS Highly Recommended by Whom You Know -Debuting SUNDAY, JAN. 31 (10:00–11:00 p.m. ET/PT) Our Coverage Sponsored by Martin's Tavern of Georgetown Est. 1933

Established in 1933, Martin's Tavern is one of Washington DC’s most historic family-owned enterprises. For 80 years, Martin’s Tavern has been a renowned fixture in the mid-Atlantic and a must-visit establishment in historic Georgetown. In the late 1890's, William S. Martin traveled from Galway, Ireland to America. Forty years later, he and his son, William G. Martin, the current Billy's grandfather, opened Martin’s Tavern on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and N Street NW which is run today by our friend, William A. Martin Jr. You can call him Billy! From sitting Presidents and media icons, to city residents and worldly travelers, Martin’s Tavern is a welcoming home to the many who have long embraced its warm atmosphere. Its quintessentially classic American fare has delighted discriminating palates for decades from the Oakwood Atlantic Smoked Salmon to the Filet Mignon to whatever your little heart desires from the convincing menu. Every President from Truman to George W. Bush has happily dined at Martin's Tavern, and you can see the delicious culinary choices preferred by each in our review: Martin's Tavern is Highly Recommended by Whom You Know:

The President’s favorite booths, The Proposal Booth of Jack and Jackie Kennedy, Mickey Mantle in The Dugout Room, George W. Bush and family at Table 12 are just a few of the iconic stories. Fourth generation owner Billy Martin, Jr. continues the tradition of Washington’s oldest family owned restaurant and Georgetown landmark.

America is at war, and HBO is on the warpath to set the standard of excellence in informing Americans exactly of the horror we are up against.  For everyone that survived 9/11 especially here in Manhattan, the defeat of terrorism and ISIS in particular is of utmost importance.  In HBO's VICE Special Report, Ben Anderson bravely interrogates captured ISIS jihadists, and enlightens us as to their horrific sense of logic and reason, or to state it more accurately, their complete lack of it.  We are glad Ben wants to do this kind of work because this is exactly the kind of journalism we would not want to do, but is highly respected and admirable and should be done.

It is shocking to see how far ISIS has come with their rudimentary warfare and lack of intelligence, or perhaps they know more than we think they do.  This is absolutely a must-see and a program you must tune in and watch.  Experts are saying that the current ISIS situation is worse than Saddam Hussein's reign of terror, and you'll learn a bit about how their religion plays into it. You'll see true desperation; ISIS recruits through torture and cruelty is at the center of ISIS action.

We will warn you: parts are indeed sad seeing children grow up in these circumstances-8 to 15 people to a tent, their fathers executed by ISIS.  However, it is important that you open your eyes and see the truth.  The daily risk of simply living is unbelievable and daily fighting paints a striking picture of reality.

History is shown going back to the early 2000's and the shift in political power plays a large part in how the current situation evolved.  You'll learn what experts believe are the biggest mistakes that contributed to today's problems.  Putin from the UN even weighs in.

Ben is extremely brave to do this work, and we highly recommend that you watch it.
