PAUL GREENBERG NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF FYI™
Paul Greenberg has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager of FYI, effective January 19, it was announced today by Nancy Dubuc, President and CEO of A+E Networks. Based in New York, Greenberg will be responsible for overseeing all activities for FYI, including planning, programming development and production and marketing.
“I am very excited to be able to bring Paul into the A+E Networks fold to head up FYI,” said Dubuc. “Paul has his finger on the pulse of the dynamic lifestyle world. Coupled with his rich background in media and technology, I know he will lead the team to take FYI to the next level in both the linear and digital realms.”
Most recently, Greenberg was CEO of Nylon, a leading international provider of fashion, music and pop culture content for Millennial females with digital, e-commerce, influencer, event and print assets. In his first year there, he expanded audience from 200,000 unique monthly visitors to 4.2 million, lifted video viewership 1,200%, and solidified multiple high-profile partnerships, including deals with Amazon, Endemol and Yahoo.
Before that, he was President of SFX (Nasdaq: SFXE), the largest global dance music company. Prior to that, he was CEO of IAC’s CollegeHumor, where he was responsible for running three websites, as well as the company’s longform TV development and film production divisions. During his tenure there, he tripled traffic and revenue through native advertising and other revenue streams, while also growing CollegeHumor to become the seventh-largest YouTube channel, with more than 125 million video views per month across all platforms. Before that, as President, Digital, of Time Inc. Lifestyle Group, he was responsible for ten digital properties (including RealSimple and Cooking Light), which achieved 50% year-over-year audience growth.
In 2009, Greenberg served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of TV Guide Digital. There, he tripled revenue and increased the site’s audience from four million monthly uniques to 21 million. Prior to joining TV Guide, he was Senior Vice President, Global Business Development and Partner Relations at MediaNet, a top digital music provider. Greenberg was previously Vice President, Business Operations, at MTV Networks’ MTV.com and before that, Director of Business Development for Affiliate Sales at MTV Networks. He began his career as a sports announcer at 1010 WINS in New York.
Heavily involved in the New York start-up community as a mentor for TechStars, First Growth Venture Network and Entrepreneur's Roundtable, Greenberg earned a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
Powered by its hit series Married at First Sight, Married at First Sight: The First Year, Seven Year Switch, Tiny House Nation and Arranged, FYI posted year-over-year growth across all key demographics for 2015. One of ad-supported cable’s top-tier upscale entertainment networks, FYI logged in double digit jumps among Women 18-49 (+26%) and Women 25-54 (+25%) versus 2014. The network also gained +6% among Adults 18-49 and +4% in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.
