New York City FC midfield Mix Diskerud completed a successful stint with US Men’s National Team.

US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann was pleased with Diskerud’s work at camp.

"We told him in this camp that, 'You've got to bring out your elbows,” said Klinsmann. "That's what he needs to learn, and that's what he did. In a couple of situations he got physical, and this is what he needs to add to his game.”

Diskerud started against Canada on Feb. 5, and felt that him and the US Men’s National team played well in that match.

"It was nice winning tackles, and I felt like as a team in the second half we were controlling the game,” said Diskerud.

But for now Diskerud is focused on joining up with his teammates.

"I got kind of a head start now in this camp starting before New York City FC, so it's going to be good to see the guys again,” said Diskerud. "I feel fit, I feel fresh, it feels nice, it's a good feeling.”
