The St. Louis Blues play host to the Chicago Blackhawks in the first Game 7 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday, April 25 (8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT, NBCSN, CBC, TVAS).

In their 11 previous series clashes in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, these longtime division rivals have met in a Game 7 just once, in the 1990 Norris Division Final. Led by a five-point performance from Steve Larmer (one goal, four assists), the Blackhawks chased Blues starting goaltender Vincent Riendeau and recorded an 8-2 victory at Chicago Stadium.

The Blues will be contesting their first Game 7 in 13 years and the 15th in franchise history (6-8). Their last victory in a Game 7 occurred in 1999, when the club -- directed behind the bench by current Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville -- claimed a 1-0 overtime win at Phoenix in a Western Conference Quarterfinal series.

Chicago will skate in a Game 7 for a fourth consecutive season, for the fifth time in the past six campaigns and 14th overall (7-6). The Blackhawks have split their four Game 7 decisions under Quenneville from 2011-2015. They forced a Game 7 after trailing 3-1 in the series three times in that span, a feat they have repeated this year against the Blues.

Blues forward Troy Brouwer will be making a team-leading seventh career appearance in a Game 7. Brouwer, who was drafted by the Blackhawks and played his first five NHL seasons in Chicago, made his final appearance for the club in a Game 7 loss at Vancouver in the 2011 Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa will be skating in a Game 7 for the 10th time in his NHL career. Hossa is one of eight players on the current Blackhawks roster to have competed in each of the four previous Game 7s for Chicago in the Quenneville era, joining Corey Crawford, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Marcus Kruger, Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews.
