The Sharks tied the game with 4:05 remaining in regulation, but Conor Sheary scored at2:35 of overtime to lift the Penguins to a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final.

Phil Kessel provided the other goal for the Penguins, with assists from linemates Nick Bonino and Carl Hagelin.
* The trio has combined for 19-31—50 in 20 games this postseason: Kessel (10-9—19), Bonino (4-13—17) and Hagelin (5-9—14).
* Kessel became the ninth player in Penguins history to reach double-digits in goals during a single playoff year and the first to do so since 2009 (Sidney Crosby: 15, Evgeni Malkin: 14).

* The Penguins improved to 28-26 in 54 all-time playoff overtime games, including a 17-16 record on home ice. They also improved to 2-0 in overtime games during the Stanley Cup Final, with their lone other such contest in Game 5 in 2008 at DET (Petr Sykora – 49:57).
