Four-Day Showcase to Begin Saturday; The Stanley Cup to Arrive Monday

From Saturday, June 18 through Tuesday, June 21, 20 of hockey’s most prized trophies, including the iconic Stanley Cup, will be on display in the lobby of Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as part of a city-wide celebration of the 2016 NHL Awards, the June 22 live primetime show honoring hockey’s best and the 2015-16 NHL season.

The trophies will be on display at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino starting Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. through Tuesday, June 21 at 2 p.m. The Stanley Cup, the oldest and most revered trophy in professional sports, will arrive on June 20 and will be on display at select times on Monday and Tuesday. Fans will have a chance to take in this inspiring display before the trophies are presented at the 2016 NHL Awards at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday, June 22.

WHAT: 20 NHL Trophies will be on display in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s lobby:

· The Stanley Cup*

· Art Ross Trophy (scoring champion)

· Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy (perseverance and dedication to hockey)

· Calder Memorial Trophy (top rookie)

· Clarence S. Campbell Bowl (Western Conference Champion)

· Conn Smythe Trophy (most valuable player in the Playoffs)

· Frank J. Selke Trophy (top defensive forward)

· Hart Memorial Trophy (most valuable player to his team)

· Jack Adams Award (top head coach)

· James Norris Memorial Trophy (top defenseman)

· King Clancy Memorial Trophy (leadership & humanitarian contributions)

· Lady Byng Memorial Trophy (skill/sportsmanship)

· Mark Messier Leadership Award (leadership on and off the ice)

· Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy (goal-scoring leader)

WHAT: Hosted by actor Will Arnett, the 2016 NHL Awards will feature the finest hockey players in celebration of the 2015-16 hockey season. The two-hour primetime show will broadcast live from The Joint at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on NBCSN in the U.S. and Sportsnet in Canada and feature a live musical performance from alternative rock band, X Ambassadors.
